I was wondering if you need to glass both sides of the plywood for your deck? I was thinking(probably too much or wrongly) that the underside won't be getting wet so couldn't you just prime and paint with exterior paint or put a polyurethane on it to protect from condensation? In looking at the plywood that LUND originally put in deck/floor it doesn't look like anything was done to it....

Most of us seal the top bottom and sides of the plywood with at least 2 coats of resin. Once the deck is glued in, glass in the top.

Agree, use resin not paint. You can even put a layer of light matt on the underside.

Have a great day,

if you use polyester resin.....you MUST use matt as well.....as rob said....a very light csm......

the resin by it self ifs brittle, it will crack in short time.

with the matt.....the underside will last longer than u own the boat
