last questions, Jig. Will the contact cement clean up with mineral spirits or acetone? It says denatured alcohol on the can, but I have lots of the former. Also, can you mark the back of the vinyl with a sharpie or will that bleed through? I'm ready to start cutting my vinyl tonight and practicing on a couple small scraps, the results, good, bad or indifferent will be posted in my superhawk thread!

To add, when I did my wrap, I used the adhesive but I also grabbed a box of Stainless steel staples to help hold the vinyl down. I stapled the heck out of the back sides on all my flooring and side panels. That was before I learned about water intrusion, it almost makes sense to not staple any of the floor boards if you are concerned about water intrusion. But on the side panels, maybe? Jigngrubs work looks outstanding, doesn't look like he used any staples either.

His work really is outstanding. I think you pretty much have to staple the underside. I'm not too worried about water intrusion there. I have foam supporting the deck, but I'm going to cut a channel under the seam on both sides of the rib where the joint will be just to make sure water does not accumulate there.

I used mineral spirits for what little clean up I had with the cc, I mainly used chip brushes and a metal quart can and didn't have much clean up at all.

I'm not sure about a sharpie bleeding through, I used a ball point pen on the back of the vinyl and it worked well.

I did use some 3/8" long stainless steel staples on the wrap around the back and they worked well.
