Hello, Does anyone know where to get old emblems? I am looking for at least one that reads Glassmaster for my 15' 1965 Runabout. @ would be great, but one is broke on my boat and it reads assmaster! It is Funny, but I'd like to find another origional. Any websites out there? Thanks

If you can get one of the old ones off (in one piece) you can mould yourself a new one. Do a search for user Mark42 and you'll find instructions on how he accomplished it for his vintage emblems and rubrail caps.

Thanks AMD, I checked into it and have a decent idea now. But like you said, "If I can get the old one off in one peice" Perhaps I can trace the unbroken one first, then make a template, this way I still have the origional look. Thanks again

Re: Glassmaster 65

The same thing happened to me on my '73 Glassmaster. I kept the good one. When I repaint it this Fall, I will spray the logo area in blue first. Then I will fasten the emblem over the blue paint and spray the entire hull white, including the emblem. I will then remove the emblem, which will reveal the design in blue. If you are not going to repaint it any time soon, then see if you can take the good one to a metal fabricator.

Hey BrettNC. I like the paint scheme your going to have, sounds good. Was it difficult to remove the emblem? I cant seem to figure out how mine are on there. Theres so much paint on them I can barely read them! Dont want to use any kind of paint stripper on them. Might harm the glass which I don't need to do...Think im just gonna get a small drill bit & drill them off. Its been really hot the last couple weeks, so im a bit lazy lately... he-he

Just drill out the rivets that hold the emblem on.

My '64 came with a triangular sticker with the logo on it. I had a graphics guy make me some similar ones but I didn't like them. Then I cam across some cast metal ones on Ebay & they look great though not original for my year. No one would ever know unless I told them!:p

Re: Glassmaster 65

As a current happy owner of a 72 (Gl)assmaster boat I busted out laughing at the initial post. I had a hard day at work and this just made it all better.

BTW, mine is still a Glassmaster although the Gl is a little loose on the transom placard. LOL!!

Oh, please post about your boat on the Glassmaster forum. We are welcoming all Glassmaster owners with much enthusiasm. :)
