Honestly, the one thing that raised an eyebrow in your pics was that white transom. Fiberglass should be translucent...whether it is green, amber/reddish or blue depending on the resin type. Must be the Elmers stuff...maybe it's all white?

I would have filled all the holes in the back with resin and microballoons or a marine grade filler premixed.

But, the water intrusion just doesn't make much sense. It sounds like you were getting water in through the cap seam. I know of a Bayliner that would flood the rear seats if you cut power from going from full speed with 4 people in the boat...the water just rushed out from under the rear seats it filled up so fast...sure sign of no sealer under the rub rail.

that could be it. the rub rail wasn't seemed or epoxied in. I have no way of finding out. i have every hole in the boat that i pierced on accidently while grinding sealed, and i also have every hole covered. BTW, that white transom is actually interlux marine coating over it but i had to rip all that old stuff off. I put 1 layer of fiberglass cloth and it gets 10X less water than with my 4 layers of chopped string mat. I can hopefully get some really good pics so you can tell.
