That's my opinion. But you must really pay attention to details when sealing it up. Even if you had limber holes, chances of water holding up somewhere is pretty great IMO. I have some storage below deck for anchors and what not, so for me, drainage to the bilge along the keel is a necessity.

Would using foam sheets from a home improvement center cut to fit be a better option that way any water that did get under the deck could drain out?
What bothers me about this is that then water could get under the deck through the drain holes at the transom drain box for the bildge

I would think it depends on whether or not your foam is also structural reinforcement. If it was originally intended to add floatation, and structural integrity, foam sheet insulation is not the way to go. It's hard to see really what you're dealing with. Pictures may help.

The foam under the deck in my glastron looked like foam 2"x4"s they were just flosting under the deck not glued to anything
There was nothing structual about them

Got both outer sringers tabbed in now I precut the notches and figerglassed over them for the wood that will support the plywood at the seams i will cut the fiberglass out later On the first picture theres a few airbubbles on the top of the stringer will this be ok or should i grind it out and do it over? They appeared on the second layer

I need some advice again ...
The middle stringer was only 3/4" thick
Im in the process of laminating a new stringer but it will be 1.5" thick will this be ok as it will probably be a lot stiffer.
Will it be better or should i go with 3/4"
Like it was originally built with?

Are these few air bubbles going to be a problem?

Got the center stringer tabbed in today
I ended up using the same thickness of wood as glastron had originally used
I was going to double up on the center stringer but it was way to heavy
Also I learned today not to fiberglass when its 90+degrees outside

The drain box on my boat was originaly 36"x25" and it made it hard to fit 2 gas tanks under the splashwell
So i made ite drain box smaller 36"x7"
Will this be ok?
i dont want to affect anything structual on the boat
