you would be better off getting one of those lights that has Styrofoam around...i think its could float light or something like that....I have one

That is a good light,and it works to bring in bait fish a lot better then them old school floating headlights.,which work,but will bring in so many bugs that you can't see.lol.But that is the same light that you can buy at Walmart or any fishing shop for about $25.00.When you use them on a dark night,it is like watching the Discovery Channel.Look and you will see the transformation from nothing there,until there are crappies chasing after the shad.Try it with a lantern over the side of the boat,it is amazing.

Sorry,I thought I was in the freshwater fishing forum.lol.They work very well in freshwater.Don't know about saltwater.I don't know if the saltwater will do anything to the cheaper lights.I'm pretty sure it should'nt because they are all sealed.Try a cheaper one first.

lol on fresh water i will be using it there as well so thanks.:D My plans for using it at the coast is bridge fishing at night in Morhead NC and maybe trying for cobia,or what ever the light will bring.
