When it comes to sealing up riveted aluminum boats, which is the better choice if you are planning on painting over it??

Welcome to iBoats!
Price and availability will be the deciding factors. They will both get the job done with GREAT results.

I'm just sayin...:D

I have used both-- I like steel flex better. they make a regular one, one that resists chemicals like gas and a super slick one for bottom of air boats and any other boat.

i have used steel flex on my 1966 chrysler polara--entire hull inside--

really works great---can be ordered through FLORIDA GLUE PRODUCTS IN WEST PALM BEACH.

ALL the air boat builders use it around here and everglades.

good luck
