I dont know about that picture .Something just dosent look right. If the picture is of correct proportioning the pig would be bigger than a buffalo or a bull moose.I dont know something just looks fishy.
Sorry guys, but I see no sport in chasing an animal for 3 hours and shooting it numerous times with a 50 cal pistol.
When I did hunt, I always made a one shot, one kill hunt, not several shots.
A feral hog that size is rare I grant you, but he should have had enough training with his pistol to bring it down with one shot. IMO
I agree with you, Spinner that the boy should have had more training with the use of his weapon. Not a good way to go, but in the moment, sometimes things get ugly and you are stuck with a bad situation.
Read another story about it this morning- seems the kid has been offered a bit part in the horror picture they are about to make - "Hogzilla." And the dad says they are turning the pig into 700 plus pounds of sausage! That is a lot of sausage!!!
Looks like the ole pork barrel busted at the seams and let this fella out. Just wondering which party is responsible?
I agree that the right shot would have brought it down. The shooter must have been watching too many Hollywood movies,,,,,,,all those people are terrible shots also.
I agree the pic looks touched up (photo chopped) I have raised a sow that dressed out at 900 lbs. That would have been roughly the same size as this one at 2 years old. Hell maybe the kid is just a runt
