goin to vegas this weekend

just got a good deal off cl....bliner 20 footer.

my gal and i are leavin weds aft work to go get it...drivin down all the way...

was readin the temps in vegas.....its just about freezing.....??????

you know what that means.....i hope he winterized it....i didnt even know/think to ask

wish me luck...

ill see if i can check in on the way....

i thought it was less....way lesss...

were drivin to spokane...mabe idaho..then sleep some where...ill try to talk her into sleeping in the truc for a few hours......(not)....
then back on the road....im planning one 8 hour leg and a 14 hour leg....

but the best laid plans of mice and men......

Last time I drove from Seattle to Reno it took 2 10-hour legs... although to be fair, the first night there was a 2 hour delay as I had to save some guy's life that totalled his car on I-5. That was one lucky dude, I'll tell you what. Small car with every seat filled, even an infant, in the middle of the back seat... he rolled his car over 3 lanes of his same direction of traffic, over the median, and landed right in front of me doing 60 the other way (looked like he fell right out of the sky, not more than 30yds in front of me). Everyone survived, and everyone but him walked away (except the infant who would have walked if she had learned how).

I'm thinking you should plan on 3 10-hour legs, that way you're not pressed for time if you're running behind schedule.

Oh, and if you're taking I-5 and planning on going through northern CA, be warned that writing speeding tickets to out of state people is how more than one town up there is funded. Seriously, if you even get near the speed limit they'll zap ya.
