going from 8" tires to 12" tires

would i be able to go from 8" tires on my small 14" trailer to 12" without changing the hub? As in does the 12" wheel have the same bolt pattern

Hi NY,

Yes, you can go from an 8" to a 12" wheel as long as you have fender clearance to accommodate the taller tire that is used on the 12" wheel. Both wheels will be available with the same bolt pattern.

As mentioned, the answer is yes. But, realize that you?re going to need more water to launch and retrieve. If NYGiants boats by Giant Stadium in the Hackensack River, having 8? tires is a blessing. The ramp at Laural Hill park and the other ramps end just beyond the low tide mark. 4? less or water makes a difference. I changed from 12? to 8? tires.

Why are you trying to change the size of the tire? Is there another issue you are trying to solve?
