thanks for all the answers, i seen on my transom that the alpha 1 gen 2 should only be used up to 260hp. so either way that needs to be changed out!

yes they both take the same transom assembly.
i cant help thinking a good strong 350,a 4 blade prop, and a pair of bennet trim tabs would get you going.

i havent figured the final bill out but big stuff came to around $7500 to swap my alpha to a b3. i started with a 454 alpha.
