I found a guy nearby that has "lots of boat parts" for sale on craigslist. As I am new to boating and have purchased, ive been told, a white anchor, my question is this. What parts should I pickup to keep on hand for the white anchor? I am going for the manual fuel pump 35.00 and flame arrestor 10.00. He says he has complete lower units for my OMC,whats a reasonable price for a complete one and what do I look for as far as damage?

A reasonable price for a used, unknown OMC. Free....
As for the pump, that seems a little expencive but then you did not say what it was for.
Flame arrestor is good price if its in good shape.

The fuel pump is for an 83 mercruiser 3.0. The fuel pump he had was not correct but I did pickup a 2 bbl Rochester and Flame arrestor,new fuel/water seperator and a prop thats better than the one I have all for 50.00 The OMC Stringer is what I have and his were in pieces and as I dont know much I was not willing to throw money away.
