Going to check my boats after Hurricane

Heading to the marina to see how my boats did.Hurricane was not as bad as it could have been.I prepared as well as I could have with extra ropes and fenders everywhere.Wish me luck.Charlie

Eveything is A-ok .Water level was over the pier but I had it tied up from every possible angle with the longest boat to pier ropes possible.Fenders were usless since the boat was floating so high it was over the pier.But the entire boat was filthy.And I mean dirty filthy.Leaves,dirt,pine needles,more dirt and stains from all of it.But no damage so I am thrilled!!! Thanks for asking ..Charlie

Glad to hear everything turned out okay Charlie. Sounds like your preparedness paid off. Glad to see that the East Coast made it through as well as you did. Unfortunately, some people lost their lives and my prayers go to those families.

Glad to hear things went relatively well in Long Island. Heard through some friends up that way that the ride was bumpy, but not as bad as it could have been.

I just hope people don't think this weak Cat1 was what a hurricane is. That happened down here years ago and when a real one came through they were not ready.

I know the one you mean.Direct hit around Pompano beach.A lot of blue tarps on roofs all the way down to Miami.ALWAYS better to over prepare than under prepare.Charlie
