Good news, hiring back a long time employee :)

My compnay bought out a shipping terminal here about 1.5 yrs ago, and they let lots of old. co. employees go, one guy that had been here for at least 20 years, is getting hired back on as our employee, he's in his 60's, lots of experience, etc. Just made me feel real good when I heard the news!

Congrats on the hire back.That is really rare... Unfortunately experience is not what a lot of companies are looking for. They want ignorant newbies who are low health insurance risks. Sad to say the American Dream has changed. Just some of my 2$...."inflation"

That is good news, especially for an older employee. Many of my co-workers who got laid off after I took an early retirement offer had between 25-30 years in. Kills me when stuff like that happens, glad for his good news.
