Thought I'd share this free Google Earth GPS tracking utility I originally developed for my boat. All you need is a laptop and GPS.<br /><br />I wouldn't use it for general navigation but it's alot of fun for scoping out the area (satellite imagery) and keeping track of your trip (real-time tracking).<br /><br />Satellite and any other POI data can be preloaded prior to your trip so you don't need an internet connection onboard.<br /><br />If your concerned about the safety of this app (viruses/malware) I definitely understand.<br />If you want to give GooPs a try and need more assurance and/or info, check out this forum: MP3car GooPs Forum <br />GooPs has been used and tested there for the past several months.<br /><br />Here are a couple of screenshots and a brief rundown of GooPs features:<br /><br />
