The 9922S is actually a 1969 9.5 hp Evinrude, not a 9.9.

The 10EL766, I can't find anywhere.

But...I'm betting that 10EL766 is a 1977 model, based on the model year sequencing.

9922S .. Plate says 9.9 @4500. Kinda thought it was 1 of the older detuned 15's. Runs excellent but I need the coolant line for it that goes from lower unit & up.

Ca where did you id this motor?

The 10EL766 is a parts motor.

E10RCNS looks good but haven't checked it yet.
Got these 3 motors plus an excellent 76 35 HP Rude, with controls, today as part of a trade.
Thanks for the help

marineengines.com.

9922 is a 1969 9.5hp model, unless the "S" designation means something.

I don't think they made a 9.9 until 1974, actually.

Re: Got 3 - 9.9's I Can't Id. Docktalk is gone

Johnsons have always used a mix of letters and numbers to denote model. Early Evinrudes used just letters up until around 1930 and then went to mostly numbers using letters to denote engines built over seas. In 1980, both went to the mix of numbers and letters for model #'s. The difference being that the model number was preceded by a J or E. When OMC was supplying Tracker Boats with engines, the model number was preceded by a T and then the J or E. There was some variations but since 80', most OMC & BRP products are a mix of numbers and letters.
