My dads coworker saw this down the road from the shop. To me it looks like a 60's 50 horse seahorse. But, all I saw were these cell phone pics. What do yall think it is?

from what i can see, it's a very rare, and expensive engine. it's so fast you can't see it run. post the pic's.

Oh man. I feel so stupid right now. Maybe the mod should move this to the SHT forum.

it's 60's but looks bigger than a 50hp. hope you're not planning to buy it. looks like it has never been covered. free would be too much for it.

We were thinking free, then trash the boat, and scrap the motor and trailer. I'd be willing to bet that the motor is seized up or just plain dead. Close to 50 bucks of scrap there. Just kinda wonderin' what it was.

60 or 75. I don't see a shift lever, so it must be electric shift. Mid 1960s. If it has amplified ignition, you Really don't want it. Definately looks like a project. If the transom is rotton, stay away. Trihull?

It looks like a 1962 to 1966 75hp electric shift. They used a belt driven distributor on the back of the motor and conventional points and condeser igntion.

pressure wash the heck out of it, part the lower in one piece on ebay, if the power head turns over and has compression, do the same, and the mid section. take controls and any thing useful out of the boat the boat, you'd be surprize what sells on ebay. take a chain saw to the hull. put it out for the garbage man a little at the time. (save dump fee). put a sign on the trailer $100. it's a little work, but bait and gas money for you (and would be some beer money for me). or money toward that new motor you want.
