it appears that i'm on top of it. did a third oil change today. after a 3.0 hr run. oil looks richious and new. time will tell but i'm confident i'm hip to that problem. was interesting, old manifold water jacket was filled to the brim. next day. exhust runner was totaly full of water. bummer. bet that wasn't great from my engine.no wonder i had chocolate milk. knew i should have R&Red it (rusty manifold)from sq. one....
on to the new problem. high speed run let me down. buddys gpsin me at 42. side by side. ain't done anything much for a tune up for this thing. plugs and wires is it. tried twice for a fuel filter but dealer was out of stock. think i got one waitin for me now at the mercruiser dealer....will see them monday.
also need to get rid of the 21 pitch prop unless the tune up does something for me. gots to trim to high for wot and start to blow out....maybe a 19 and see what happens. guess that's a pretty popular prop. michigan wheel? i want aluminum for the river debris.....
also my first solo launch and retrieve. all went well. sweety is in california seein the folks. hopein to be ready for a river run whith her next weekend. that'll be a bit more chanllengeing for it.. 51 miles one way. bellvue, NE. to blair NE. and back on the missouri.......18gal. fuel tank. hummmm.......surely........2-4 mph current upriver....
