Seen worse, and can't possibly be as bad as 'dumping' a Holiday off the trailer into a field

Or letting your Islander break dance in the driveway

Happens, but definitely do all that's possible to avoid it ;)

I have no idea what you're talking about

Yeah, Jas doesn't either. I actually forgot you had a hand in the break dancing Islander... :D That fit right in w/ his MC Hammer pants :p

I've had to sit on a trailer tongue for almost an hour, until the Admiral returned, when I was trying to move a loaded boat trailer around in the garage. Whole loaded mess got just a tad too far past the opening for the garage door. It wanted to roll the rest of the way down the driveway into the street. So, yeah, way too familiar w/ the OH CARP moment

I probably wouldn't have had the guts to post the pix, even if there were some.....

Well, if I had to guess I'd say a good 5+ gallons...so does everyone just use the trailer jack to keep it tilted? Or is there some sort of big jack stand for trailer tongues. Because I have my jack pretty high up now and have some jack stands helping on the trailer. Seems the jack may lose some sturdiness being all the way extended like that. Doesn't help that my driveway has a slight grade.

Sounds like it may not be that uncommon around here ;) I thought I sensed some experience, albeit unspoken

I just keep the nose of the boat pointed up with the trailer jack with the plug out. When we get a heavy rain, i can see a little stream of water coming out of the drain plug. It doesn't help that my cover is shot, and some of the water is running down the deck right into the bilge vents.

I put a cinder block under the trailer jacks wheel, then lower the jack and it gives me an additional 4 inches or so

Splashed it today!!! Ran perfect and the lake even cooperated, could've only been better without the downpour and hail...but other than that it was great!

Congrats on the first splash! Sounds similar to how mine went; stuck out in the middle of the lake in a downpour while the admiral went to weight the trailer for the registration.Hopefully splash #2 goes better for 'ya.:)

Where did you launch?
When the North Eastern's are blowing, The West side of the Lorain Harbor Jetty is usually smooth enough to ski!.
If it's blowing from the West. East of Avon Point off of Bay Village gives relief.

Good to know Uncle, but I launched in Sandusky, had someone who knows about boats more come with to check the boat out and teach me some things. From here on out I'll be launching in Lorain though.

Very nice. Looks quite similar to the one I am restoring. I especially like the room in the cabin of these boats. Much more cabin room than my Islander had. I am sure you will enjoy it.
