When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ballpoint pens would not work in zero gravity. To combat the problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion to develop a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to 300 C. The Russians used a pencil.

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain number of things.
Right now I am so far behind, I will live forever.

Having spent some time in local government I can assure you that if you want to find something to gripe about there will be something there.

The case you quote above has been posted about 5 times and is a good example of how even seriously dedicated and hard working people can get it waaaaay wrong once in a while. The fact that it shows up so often is testimony to how rare those errors are.

Too bad we don't hear about the thousands of times they get it right, and on the first try.

So let me get this straight. Private business identified an opportunity, spent their own money to develop a product to meet that opportunity, no grants, no gov't study, no political influence on the market. They just simply did it to maybe make a buck? Boy, were they dumb . . .

Ever thought about taking up drinking to relax? Like 7 or 8 drinks, as opposed to one?
