GPS/SONAR Combo LMS-350A

I have this GPS/Sounder combo on my 99 Sea Pro. Sounder works great but GPS is intermitent. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it won't get a signal. Any idea why that might be?

My boat only has one battery and I think this might be a reason since the GPS and all other electronics are connected to this battery.

Ideas?

If the battery is low it could cause the problem. Makes sure it is fully charged at the end of each trip. When out on the water turn on the voltage data and see what the voltage is.

Does that unit have a seperate antenna?
If it does make sure the antenna has 12.6 volts also.

Check all the connections and make sure they are clean and tight.

Thanks, I'll have to look for the voltage data on the unit. Yes it does have an external receiver, will check to see what voltage it is getting.
