Grass Carp Baits???

I have heard grass carp will go out of thier way to eat a slice of sweet bell pepper but have never tried it. Does anyone have any good, tried and true or I heard it from so and so specifically for Grass Carp(White Amure) baits? I know several carp baits and have used a few with some sucess on common carp but I have never caught a grass carp. I am sure it can be done and with the ones I saw tailing in the shallows I want to do it.

Well, I've never tried this stuff, but I've been told that wrapping a big wad of grass around a 2/0 or 3/0 will work. Also heard that they like raspberries. As far as regular carp go, fresh sweet corn sliced right off the cob drives them crazy.

When I was stationed in Europe (25 years ago) I went fishing with some local Germans who used cherry's. They disconnected a treble hook and threaded the cherry so it say on all three barbs.<br /><br />That day they were kicking butt on the grass carp.<br /><br />Bob

Thanks I got too sick on Tues through today to try it but I am going shopping tonight. Got to at least try to hook up to one of them somehow even if I resort to snagging.
