I bought marine carpet from BoatCarpetBuys.com recently after shopping locally, online, and on Ebay. I had a great experience and wanted to share that with other guys doing boat projects.

I ordered my carpet (8' x 25' - 16 oz in Midnight Grey) last Monday evening - which was a holiday. I was shocked to receive it on Wednesday. The carpet itself was as expected, securely packaged for shipping and of good quality with no flaws.

I've done some carpeting in the past but following advice and tips from their website I was able to get a very good result. I had just enough to carpet my 18' Lund, including carpeting a box I built in the back to cover the tanks, battery, and power tilt pump. I went with the 8' width and used the excess to carpet the "sides" of the interior plus the floors, hatch doors etc.

I'd say this carpet is comparable to what you'd get in a low to midrange boat. If you're looking for something comparable to what you'd get in a new high-end boat step up to the heavier carpets they offer.

Their price was $168.oo with free shipping. That's $31.oo less than ordering it at Lowes and I got it in days rather than weeks. You can buy the same carpet on Ebay for the same price - but you have to pay shipping which for my location was $35.oo.

Anyway - real pleased with the price, prompt shipping, and information from their website. I'll definitely buy there again.
