Thank You.

Re: Green Evinrude's

I never have seen a green Evinrude. But back in the mid fifties they used a pale blue that I suppose could be considered a tad greenish. Especially after years of fade. But the biggest back then was a 25Hp. I wonder if you might have had a Johnson motor with an Evinrude hood. Many old V-4 60 Johnsons were dark green. Hoods were interchangable.

Re: Green Evinrude's

I have never seen one either other than that one. It was definitely light green. This was when i was still living in England and it was attatched to the back of a 14 ft Owens runabout. The paint looked original. I know the light blue you are speaking of but this one was without a doubt green. If only I still had a photo of it. I will find a photo of one in a different colour somewhere and post it for a reference.
Thanks for the input.

My 1971 60 triple was greenish gold. More gold than green. UGLY color. Didn't match hardly any boat ever made. It clashed with most everything I've ever seen one on. I nearly forgot about it because I painted it to match the boat. My 72 100Hp was the same color once upon a time, but the previous owner painted over it too.

Well I have just e-mailed some family in England that may just have a photo they can send me. I will post it if I get one.
Thanks for all the input.

I had a 1977 Glastron with a 70 'rude on the back; it was the same green as the Chrysler cars of similar vintage. Good running motor; very easy to fix.
