If i wanted to remove that water pick up and seal, how would I go about it..? I removed the 2 screws retaining in place, but it still not loosening up...

So... The repair is to take it to a fiberglass guy and have a proper repair job done on it. But my first suggestion would have been don't remove those screws until you get can to the back side of it! You will want to see first of all if it is leaking, and if it is, I'd suggest fixing it instead of closing the hole. In your boat, it looks like you might actually want to use that for its intended purpose.

No matter what, make sure those screws go back in and tighten up. There might be a backing plate, and if the screws don't grab it, it isn't safe to splash the boat until you can get access behind it. There is most likely some 3m holding the pickup in also, which is why it didn't come out when you had the screws off.

based on your other post, I may have an idea.

it could be the plumbing from your livewell is supposed to connect to this fitting, however has come undone. hence why when you put water in your livewell, it runs out your bilge.

time to look under the deck and correct the issue.

There is nothing especially "high speed" about that raw water intake. that is just a standard intake 'screen' to keep from sucking all sorts of crap in. Hmmm. Does the boat have or did it ever have an installed head? It could also be the intake for that.

Most are stem mounted.
