Grizzly 1860 Question

Hello im new to the forum so a little about me. I am an avid flats fisherman on the gulf coast. In my spare time i build custom rods. Now to my question.
I have an 1860 Grizzly and would like to add the float pods (sponsons) to the transom. Grizzly will not sell them to me. Does anyone have them on their grizzly? And would you be willing to give me the dimensions so that I can have them made.

Not sure if there are internal structural reinforcements on the sponson boats compared to ones w/o.maybe G3 might sell u some? they are options on their jons also.I was thinking about smart tabs for my 1860 but I thought that might be a bad idea,(holes below the waterline).the sponsons are welded on I think.

Yea. Theres not structual difference in the 2 models. Im gonna have them made and welded on. Just need the dimensions.

you could probably go almost as wide as not to hit them when turning lock to lock. the ones Ive seen on the G3s look like they are 24 to 30"s long and about 18" wide,but I didnt measure them.

I think they have one with them over at the BassPro store, if nobody answers, I may get over there tomorrow and take a tape.
I'm sure you realize that they don't have to be any particular size right? You can have them any size you want that dosn't get in the way of anything else.

Yep, I measured them, but I didn't spend a lot of time, it was pouring rain, first all day rain we've had in months! Anyway they are pretty complex. They are 19" wide at the top against the transom and 19" long. 7' high at the front, but about halfway back they step down 2", so the rear half is 5" high. The inside edge is vertical, the outside edge is the same angle as the boat sides and setback about 1". The inside vertical edges are angled outboard for the last few inches, so that the the width at the top rearmost edge is 12.5".
