Hello Forum folks
I'm new to this forum but in the past few weeks I've learned a lot.Thank You!!! Anyway I wanted to post my experience with my kicker. I was having cooling problems.Had water coming out of the lower unit by the shifter rod so I put on a water pump kit.Put it back together and still got hot. Took the thermostat housing off and had no thermostat.By that time I had hooked up the city water to the cooling tube(60 psi).Barely got some flow then.I was stumped so I had to get some driveshaft oil seals(that don't come with the water pump kit)While I'm getting seals the mechanic overheard the conversation between the partsperson and I. He tells me about the two gromets on the inside of the exhaust housing that tend to close up with age.He was right on targetHope this keeps someone from ruining their motor.
