grommet installation 1986 15hp evinrude

im not sure which way to install grommet on the water tubes for my motor which direction do they go the small diameter opening down in the exhaust mounting plate or the larger diameter hole do i mate the small hole with the block or the large hole this is all i need to know to start putting it back together thanks

put the small end toward the impeller, I stick the copper tube in the grommet then place tube/grommet in the hole then bolt onto power head.

i looked online and i think i was sent the wrong grommet unless the changed the design there is a grommet that is a 304026 and the one on most boat parts websites list as the correct part is 330426 im not sure which one is right but the 304026 looks like the one that came out of my engine the other does not

the 304026 is not the right part i saw another picture of it its not correct nvm

yea they had a mix up and they finally sent me the right part for free
