grounding plug wires????

When checking compression on a cylinder or when performing timing (timing light) on cylinder 1, Do you need to ground the other plug wires? Why?

Yes, If not it could damage the ignition system... Primarily the switchbox(s) or coils. <br /><br />For a compression test all you need to do is pull the safety switch...

If you have a kill switch you can just dissable it and go about your test.
