Re: Gun-toting police burst into a South Carolina high school

GodsBeast, I want to go fulltime. I have no problem with reserve, and the Chief asked me to consider reserve until a full time position comes up, but I have no time. My job keeps me going 60+ hours a week, and I value my off-time. Wouldn't have any time for fishin'! My winters are slower, but I plow snow and have to be able to do that, although I am aware of the flexibility of the reserve program here. We'll see....

I'll say my piece. Alot of this crap started way back in the early 70's. Thats the period of time when the liberal parents started crying "You can't spank my baby" and then they took disicpline out of the schools. Teens prior to that had respect or fear (whatever you want to call it) to adults. Parents sided with other adults and the police. Presently parents tend to just believe their child instead.

Teens today have too much social time at school. They learn from other deceitful teens on how to make their parents happy. They know what to say and how to cover their tracks.

Give the teachers power again to discipline and there would be differnt attitudes with the students. Its not being cruel, its teaching our children that there is consequences to pay for making wrong decesions.

School snitches are too scared to do their job for fear of being beaten to death. No involvment from even the student body is not working. There are gangs that rule the schools.

If my kid was involved at school for illegal actions, by all means have the police do their job.

The police in this case were doing their job. ***** waste parents should quit their complaining and spend a week at todays high schools to see for themselves.

SS

This SWAT raid on a high school was a usless waste of time and a useless waste of tax money.

We have been fighting the so-called "war on drugs" for FORTY YEARS! Anybody see us gaining any ground?

Killers and rapists get set free while drug dealers fill our prisons, completing mandatory sentences.

Looks like our drug policy is working real well.

OK Marty, now we are getting somewhere, the government doesn't want to win the war on drugs, the gov. and the lawyers are making too much MONEY off of it. You begining to hit the nail on the head. Meanwhile they have Officers trying to hold a lid on the pot, and do what they can, while the gov. could do something to stop it, they would rather sit back and make money off it, and the Media feeds it.

Oh not to mention allowing our Children to end up smack dab in the middle of the dam- game they are playing, believe me I'm mad too

But believe me, it ain't the Police turning any of them loose!

guys don't start judging police for their actions until you have walked in their shoes. There are some good posts on here and there are others that leave a lot to be desired.
any one who thinks a teenager is not capable of doing violent things then they need to wake up and smell the coffee.
I have been to school where 15 year old has beaten a teacher senseless and been to homes where kids have whipped their parents or grand parents with a iron bar so don't tell me those cops over reacted when i have seen more guns and knives in school then on the street
SS MAYFLOAT said it all that is where the trouble started and that is where it will end
No control what so ever on juvees any more
