Looks to me like you didn't bed the new stringers either. Before I get to sounding like I'm an expert, I'm not - I'm just beginning to study to do a stringer job myself, but it is my understanding that bedding is a very important step in the process. I hope you didn't fibreglass the bottom of those stringers directly to the hull, and in doing so, create "hard points."

I replaced the foam in and around the gas tank. I'm not a fiberglass man so when this floor went, i copied the stringers and glassed the new stingers to the hull. The boat is not in bad shape at all. I just need to know which type of foam, is there a kit with a gun or something?

I'd suggest X30, you can get it through TAP Plastics. It is a pour in foam that is very water resistant. Many of the older pour in foams were not water resistant and became water logged which creates a whole other host of problems.

OK, so I think the answer is that the stringers were not bedded. I suggest that you take them out completely, and remove the remainder of the old stringers also.

I would then do some homework on how to best redo the stringers, including doing some research on various material options. Once you make the choice as to whether to go with wood, or some sort of composite material, it becomes time to study up on how to go about the installation, along with learning what materials to use along with the choice of stringers.

To me, the homework phase is more important than the installation phase, just because it tends to make for a properly designed stringer system. Doing the homework also prevents having to do the job twice.

from the pics...you cut the old deck out leaving an inch or 2 around the sides....did you connect anything to that rim of old deck?

a typical rebuild gains alot of strength from the solid plywood deck. individual boards can't give you that strength.

you might get away with pulling the teak and glassing in plywood, then lay the teak back. seems like it kinda defeats the purpose though.

The teak planking does add a nice touch, but I wouldn't use it as a main structual feature. What I would do is to reinstall the stringers, add transverse structure as needed, and then install a plywood or composite deck that is tied to the gunwales.

I would ten add the teak on top of that for cosmetic appeal. My choice would also be to have unvarnished teak for two reasons - first that I think it would be less a less slippery surface, and second that it will wear better. My guess is that the varnished wood is going to get scratched pretty quickly.
