went to Daytona to take the Chris Craft out. ( we keep it is Daytona, instead of Jacksonville, prettier boating there.) got to Ponce Inlet, the ocean was very rough, so we came back inside, and moored at Disappearing Island (Really nice clean white sand sandbar. a group came in set up an make shift stage, generator, and play music until high tide. beautiful setting and a great day, even if we did not wet a hook.

I didn't make it out until right before the band (Burnin' Smynrians) finished, I had to build a handicap ramp for a friends dad and it took most of the morning.

Stayed out there till around 7pm then headed south.

I live right off Riverside Drive at the New Smyrna/ Edgewater border. Takes less then 5 min to hook up and be floating at the Edgewater boat ramp.

Did you see the pic I posted of the dolphins? We took it right after the band finished we rode around the back side of the island in the channel just to the north (across from Down the Hatch restaurant)

That's one of my favorite places to swim (disappearing island) although the water wasn't as nice as it usually is. Kind of funny though cause right outside the inlet is where more shark bites happen then anywhere in the world.

Seems like everybody had heavy chop/waves to deal with. I was on a freshwater lake with the perfect setting on the first morning to fish top water lures . Water was calm looked like a sheet of glass, fog was hanging around, no breeze, made for good top water fishing. My brother said he doesn't recall having a fishing trip as good as that at all. I told him that it must be my boat .

I'm having to recover from all this, I've been sleeping like a baby sense I got back in my own bed.

I fish out of my uncles pond at times, caught a nice cat out of there before.

Here is a couple of pics of the fish we caught the first morning. The first one is of (2) 3 lbs 10oz Stripe. The second one is of (1) nearly 2lb bass and I believe that was a 3lb stripe. I didn't get pictures of the other fish we caught durring the other outings, but a few of them were around the same size and some were to small to keep. You may can see the 5 gallon bucket that I turned up side down to make a table out of. All of the fish that were of legal size got cleaned and stuck in the freezer. It ticks me off I threw another bass in the basket well it's a cage and lowered it in the lake and the bass died over night so I didn't get to cut that one up.
