bummer...........looked like a pretty sweet deal!

is that what boats are going for down there?..............almost looked like TOO good of a deal to me.

what probably happened was the guy really needed the money and figured out a way to get it without selling the boat............you are right he could have at least called you.

Yeah, it was a great deal..Was garage kept, this guy was the second owner..It was on a foreclosure property he had and needed it gone..The OB did need a starter, but as the pic showed was 99% perfect..

Florida is a big boating state, lots of estate sales, people age and dont take the boats out so they sell em..Lots of people also move out of state and dont want to haul the boats back home..Also sadly the economy is making people sell the toys just to make ends meet..but that is a whole nother thread I'm sure

CheapBoatKev: Sorry to hear about your misadventure. I was worried about that happening to me last year while driving to see a boat about 4 hours away.

Do you still have the IMP Pawnee? I recently restored one, but it was a 225S model with a Ford V8. I did not know it was a Pawnee until I found the glove compartment cover buried in a storage well.

Keep looking...there are alot of boats for sale out there.

This isn't an $800. boat, but seems pretty tidy and all. I am going today to check it out. Also craigslist ad. The seller said he would let me have first crack since I was first caller. You hope that's how these things work. I'll give a heads up later today!

I do..She needs a lotta work..But got her for 200 bucks, hence the name lol..
My Pawnee has the 165 L6, she would fly with that V8!..Heck, she would be fast enough just with the 6 I have..Soon as I get her going..
