Hi All

I have a 1983 Skeeter Star fire 115 Restored with 115 HP 2 Stroke mercury outboard. I took the boat out today for the first time after a lot of professional engine , and wiring repair to the motor, I noticed that the new fuel gauge was not registering fuel level. I was able to repair that , one of the wires was not connected to the sending unit. I attached the wire and now it works fine . However When I turn accessory lights on , I get back lighting from all of my gauges except for the fuel gauge , Is that normal ?, should it light up ? If it should , can someone tell me , or supply a diagram on wiring the gauge so that I can get back light on the gauge ? It's especially important to me for night fishing .

Thanks all in Advance

Re: Had problems with fuel gauge

The fuel gauge should have it's own light. It is either a snap in bulb holder (should have a blue wire) or a twist in bulb holder, but still a blue wire connected somewhere to gauge.

Each of the other gauges has a light and each has a corresponding terminal that feeds power to it. The light terminal on the fuel gauge can connect to the light terminal on any of the other gauges. May be just a bad bulb.
