Yeah it was non-reviewable..........it wouldn't shock me if they allow some sort of replay capability on those types of plays in the net year or so.
I can think of 3 times this year alone where protecting the QBs so much has alterered a game.
1) The Packer game against the Seahawks. Now granted, they would still have been down by 3, but that drive would have stopped but instead took a lot of time off the clock and ended in a TD.
2) The Cincinati game earlier this year.
3) Sundays giants loss and the HORRIBLE tackle on 4th down. They guy was so afraid of getting called for a pentalty because he thought the ball was gone he just completely let go
The article isnt exactly right. From what I had heard, the penalty was for Hand to Helmut contact, and the replay showed that his hand didnt hit it and that Hasselback had lowered his head to begin with.
