Thought I'd respond here instead of hijacking the other thread.

Life is decent in my neck of the woods. I'm coming up on my 1 year anniversary of my business and I've topped the 40 client mark which is exceeding my expectations.

My wife and I also started a mortgage company in March which has been growing like gangbusters - despite the media's craze that the mortgage world is coming to an end. In fact, we just signed a 5 year lease on new office space in downtown Pewaukee.

I have worked my way into a leadership role in the local chamber of commerce where I am a sitting board member and chairing the membership committee.

I skipped my 10 year high school reunion with no regrets. Seeing the photos only reminded me of how much I disliked high school and after hearing the stories there is a little bit of gratification knowing that I'm a bit more successful than the majority of my graduating class.

With all that said, I really didn't get out on the water as much as I would liked to have this year. Probably 6 times total. Only got to tube/ski one time. With all the stress I probably aged myself by about 2 years; but all in all it is worth the aggrevation.

Other than that, its all SSDD. Looking forward to the new season of The Office starting back up. We got rid of DirecTV to save some bucks --- it is amazing how much you do not miss the TV when it is gone.

Seriously...... not a year I want to repeat. Between health issues, family moving away and deaths (multiple) of family and friends..... I am looking forward to New Years.

I still have my sense of humor!
