Great to hear your enjoying yourself in your work Stan.

I only get to use the A1M 2-3 times a year and when I do the traffic is normaly very heavy, so is there any chance of a lights flashing high speed escort. ;) ;)

Re: Hailing Standeezy

Cheers for that Techno.......the door of my house or the Range Rover I am forced to drive at work? :D :D

It's taken me six weeks to work out what all the different buttons do in that machine. Why do they make 4x4's so complicated these days?

For the UK guys: I just spent the last two days reversing down the hard shoulder of the M25, parking on the verge between the on-slip and the live carriageway (just so that I could show that I could do it!) and parking up on the pig perches at the side of the motorway. Also came across what I reckon must be the only "Give Way" sign on a motorway

Very impressed with how polite the dirvers out there are when I'm in the machine with the flashing lights and the battenburg livery............just funny how when I'm in my own car I only seem to see idiots :D :D

Had a three lane queue on the M11 doing exactly 65mph behind me on Thursday, couldn't understand why until I noticed my oppo was in the back seat of the vehicle with the camera pointed out the back window :D :D

Nice to be home and getting ready to interact with all the perfect drivers on the A1(M) :D

Glad to be of service, Stand. You pick the door. :D I was so delighted to see this thread I passed over Philomenas'. Gotta go see if he has lost his sense of humor. Delighted to see you post again.

Me? I'm not perfect... Just as damn close as I can get :D

What exactly can you do Stan? Are you tied to VOSA in any way? Our lot seem to think anything with the battenburg is a VOSA these days-and after VOSA went self-funded we're all rightly paranoid. :( Round our way they have a habit of contradicting the MOT testers...

Hold the congrats and the party RPJS: the training lasts for a year, although a lot of it is "on-the-job" (not like John Prescott though!)

Nos, we aren't linked in any way shape or form with VOSA: in fact they pulled up one of our vehicles last week. Nissan Pathfinder which they claim is overloaded with four people on board. They requested that we take it for weighing but we "forgot" as we suspect they may be correct :D The Pathfinder is a dire vehicle anyway so we'd all be quite happy if they scrap them.

I'm on some shifts now: going out on the M62 etc with some "highly-trained Traffic Officers" to learn the job hands-on before we go live at the end of May on the A1(M). Also got to go out on patrol with the polis in this area chasing the baddies for a giggle :D

I'll be keeping my eyes open for both of you and any of the other UK iboaters as they come through the area.........promise I'll be gentle ;)
