I thought he did a good job. He's a great guitar player though you don't see him play it much. Doing a cover of a Foo Fighters song was a nice touch since they covered one of his songs recently. Definitely the best half-time show I've seen in a few years. Say what you want but I'd rather see Prince than the Rolling Stones, Janet's boob, or a stupid redneck rapper wearing an American flag.

I am no fan of Prince, just never got his music as greatness. Also Prince looks like Little Richard after a hunger strike. But, he is a very talented guitar player, and I also liked the Foo Fighters cover tune, and compared to previous shows, I think he did a real good job.

I would have given it a 7.

I just have to wonder if there is something that can be done as a halftime show rather than some music group.

I'm sure that something more universally popular could have been found. But considering the emphasis on pandering to the blacks during this Superbowl, I guess he was their best choice.

I was an usher at the '84 LA Olymics. Lionel Richie did one of the big gigs there. It was wildly popular. If they were bound and determined to do a black thing, I'm sure there would have been a better choice than the one who used to call himself Prince!:/

I hear some people hire strippers for Super bowl halftime entertainment.

Not too hard to understand why.

I'd rate it 2 with lots of zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I'd rate it about a 5. I do not understand why names like Prince or Rolling Stone would even consider a half-time gig at the super bowl. The acoustics are terrible, echo is terrible, time-delay is terrible. There's just no way a performer could sound anything but terrible. But I guess the money's right.

Never really cared for his music, the show didn't change anything there. I give him a 2.

I give it about a 3, and i,m being Charitable at the 3, thought some of the commercials were better than the show. Of course the rain might have affected it some, but I don’t think so.

All the hype and the badly overdone halftime "shows" are almost as annoying as the three month lead in to Christmas.

I thought the halftime show drew an incredible amount of vacuum. I'll be generous....1.5 on the scale. Would have been nice to see Billy Joel do the half time show.

man...I thought I was being critical....I went too my work laptop and did some work rather than listen too a 1 hit wonder trying to make it back...he should be playing the state fair and casino circuits.....I'd rather have watched the eagles or even some of the ole mowtown stuff if you were going to cater to the back community.....I'd give the halftime show a 2....on the ricter scale (sp)..........

I like "Purple Rain", what I heard was not a great version. Also I thought he butchered a really good Foo Fighters song (Best of you).

I found it very odd with the marching band. It really didnt sound good on tv. I'm sure it sounded better live, but by how much is debateable......
