Re: Halloween Candy
We live in a neighborhood FULL of kids. We have come to expect probably about 100 kids. It starts at about 6 PM with the little ones, and usually builds up to an almost constant knock by about 8:30. It ends pretty much by 9:30. Before the trick-or-treating starts, there is a neighborhood party and costume parade.
We live in a semi-rural area in a big subdivision, so we also get a lot of the more rural kids being driven into the neighborhood to trick-or-treat. We got the same thing when we lived on the extreme south of the metro. Seems that if you live near a trailer park you get a whole lot of kids, too.
We usually get about 8-10 Lbs of assorted candies, and really try to give most of it away since we have two little ones that will be coming home with loot of their own.
