Hang in there Fargo

Looks like that Red River is going to crest big time....tough couple of days ahead. I just heard that some crews are heading out from Winnipeg south across the line to try to help out with the sand bagging, excavating and general build up and reinforcement.
The Winnipegers/Manitoba'ians are subject to same issue but aren't having to deal with the same levels this year from the river.
Regardless, Good luck guys....hang in there.

ps: the only upside to news like this is in seeing those communities and neighbours dig deep and pull together to get thru this kind of disaster.

My oldest brother in law lives about 30 miles from Fargo. He is running 4 pumps around the clock to keep his basement from being an indoor swimming pool. Anyone who has not been involved directly with flooding cannot understand the nature of this bad beast of burden. It is so close to that of a fire as it destroys all your treasured items. Sad situation indeed..........SS

Sounds like a nice way of saying "sucks to be you".

I couldn't imagine being up there right now. The photos I have seen have ice chunks in the water, yet people still wading in it. Is this flooding something that happens on a regular basis (just more than usual this year)?

The people in LA compained about losing their stuff, but they didn't have to deal with subfreezing temps to boot.
