Thankyou so much for your contributions Silvertip. It was your diagram of the sending unit to fuel gauge etc that got me started and finished on repairing my dead fuel gauge. Please stop by just to visit on occasion.

Re: Hanging it up!

I didn't see your farewell post and pm'd you for some wiring help...
I sure hope we have a sticky or two to replace all those wonderful wiring diagrams you so quickly and readily posted.
I wish you well, and know the sky's the limit with your future endeavors!

Best of luck and hope you enjoy the (mucho!) free time that leaving this forum will open for you. That said, I will soarly miss your honest and helpful answers ( as well as your "color" :). You have helped me countless times and I will not forget your contributions.
Thanks again and best of luck.

Re: Hanging it up!

Thanks for making iboats what it is, SilverTip. I have learned an immense amount about boats, boating and everything in between using this forum (enough to actually share my new-found knowledge!), and it goes without saying, you and others like you have made it all possible. This place is you, so no worries about moving on. You have left your mark and I thank you.

Enjoy your arguably just as expensive hobby of RC planes. I once flew RC helos and don't miss that expense (as often as i crashed)! ;)

Cheers,

Lowkee

Re: Hanging it up!

Silvertip,

Having been a lurker on this Forum for some time (I was a landlubber and was using the iboats forum to live vicariously through others), your posts were one of the reasons I continually came back to read for at least the last five years. Finally having the ability to create my own wake, I am saddened to hear of your departure.

I echoe the sentiment of others; your contributions will be missed however I suspect there will be times when the wx is IFR and the R/Cs are grounded and you'll be twinkling the keys of your PC and before you know it you'll be taking a peak to see what all of your boating buddies are up to . . .

I hope the R/Cs are an enjoyable outlet for your keen sense of challenge and enjoyment. Godspeed and favorable tidings to you.

Cheers,
Gary

silvertip;

Thank you for the knowledge that you have shared with fledgeling mariners such as Myself. You have undoubtedly saved many people countless hours, dollars, heartbreaks and injuries. Thak you for sharing your uncommon common sense.

Good luck in all of your future endeavors, and stop by to see how your trainees are progressing!

Re: Hanging it up!

Well Silvertip thanks for everything you have posted during your time around the iboats forum. I agree it is one of the best boating forums around and clearly the biggest. Much knowledge has been gained by your posts and you will be hard to replace.
Be well
