I Originally posted this to wrong thread. I had a client put really bad gas in the onboard tank and ran it for 15 minutes and he said it just stopped. The gas had floating stuff. He said it was one of the pre mix cans of 50:1 off the store shelf. This T6 Hangkai will start on full throttle only and it's a hard start and will only barely stay running barely putting with lots of smoke which leads me to think it is running really rich. Starve the engine and as it runs out of gas it picks up right before it runs out of gas and runs right for a breif moment. Cleaned all fuel lines, tank, and put a new fuel filter on. Cleaned carb 3 times. Soaked it in pine sol for 3 days fully submerged totally pulled apart. Blew it out with 100 psi. Checked compression 120. Checked coil it tested good. Pulled flywheel did not shear flywheel key. Starting to think this may be the pump diaphram has a small hole? Or something intake related? Any ideas would be helpful. I am gonna tell my clients no more hangkai motors lol 😆. I really think the carb is toast.

It’s basically a Yamaha clone. Rebuild the carb. That premix OPE stuff is actually known to be pretty bad and not what an outboard should run anyway. I boil carbs in a light lemon juice mixture
