Happiness is opening the bilge drain and no water comes out

I've resealed the outdrive and used a new drain plug (with teflon tape even) and finally got success. Went boating last night and when we came out of the launch I opened the drain as usual and nothing came out! Woohoo!

I am searching for that same kind of happiness. I have not pulled my bilge drain plug off the boat. Maybe it is leaking because it is not sealed. I may pull it off tonight and check the sealant. I have gone out a few times this summer and had no water come out but I usually have a quart or so of water come out. I will be looking inside the engine compartment while the engine is running to make sure the freeze plugs are not leaking.
