Wow she's cleaning up really nice! On the lower unit oil, fill from the bottom till it comes out the top. Your gear lube should be labeled that it's for outboard lower units/gearcases. At least the Castrol stuff I've been buying at Pep Boys is.

Thanx , yeah shes coming together nicely.
Im trying to identify where the drain and fill plugs are on the O/B.
Any help would be great as I dont want to unscrew the wrong thing.

Drive drain and fill plugs: in the last picture you posted of the engine, left side, fill screw plug is just above the water intake vents, shiny large screw, lower screw plug is same side, down low on the unit.


Nice little boat, you and the family will have a great time! Nope, you don't have to have a fancy rig with a tower, speakers, and blah blah blah.

You can have a great time with the kids, the sweat equity is priceless, and it's PAID FOR !!!

I have gutted the interior and plan on painting and recarpeting the deck today.
Gotta get her all ship shape before next monday , her maiden voyage

Just kidding. I am the one that sold the boat.
She was my first boat as an adult. We picked her up and polished her up much like the current owner. Not that much wax though.
She served her purpose. I was single at the time and the kids and I had many memorable trips in her. She can be cranky to start, but once she is running, there are zero issues.
My hope is that the current owner will create as many memories as we created in her.

PS, she is looking outstanding. Now my search for a boat has begun.

Good luck on the search.

In the last week since getting her from you I have....

Washed and waxed the hull.
New spark plugs, gear oil , greased zerk fittings and degreased and cleaned the engine.
Stripped the interior, cleaned floors, painted the inside , built new sub floor , new carpets and cleaned and mounted the seats.
Trailer lock for the trailer.
Fixed and cleaned up the wiring .
Gotten a new battery .

Things left.
Paint steering wheel.
Paint trailer.
Rewire trailer lights.

Take her out on the water!!!!!
