I have a variety of HF powered and non-powered tools. All have held up well for me in my DIY efforts.

I had a 125 PSI compressor that lasted 15 years, sometimes with heavy use, before the circuit board failed and I gave the unit to my neighbor for scrap. Definitely worth the $99 I paid for it.

I'm not trying to run a professional shop where tools get used and abused every day. Mine just get used occasionally and work well for that.

I have bought several Chinese tools.
I usually strip them down and clean out swarf and fit decent grease (where applicable ) to bearings and pivots , maybe sometimes give something a swipe with a file or emery paper just to get it a bit smoother.
Ha, just got my carb gauge thing from Temu as Im typing this ( courier drop off )

If your going to make a statement try checking your facts fist
Snap on makes there tools in Snap-on Inc. operates plants in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Elizabethton, Tennessee; and Elkmont, Alabama. Wheel balancers and tire changers are manufactured in Conway, Arkansas. Power tools, both cordless and pneumatic, are manufactured in Murphy, North Carolina.

The aluminum FJ175 HP floor jack is made in Elkmont, Alabama

They still have some of their tools made in other countries
https://allamerican.org/investigation/snap-on-tools/#:~:text=Verdict: Are Snap-On Tools,in China, among other countries.
The steel jacks comparable to Harbor Freights Daytona are made in the same factory. One of the models is straight up identical. Snap on sued HF because they used that model as a direct comparison to theirs. And Snap on lost because it was proven that they were the same. It’s been several years but they still sell the same jack. Not everything’s that way of course but in the case of that jack, last I checked the Snap on was $1,200 and HF was $2-300 something like that. I think it’s the 3 ton if memory serves me.

My old boss bought 2 of the Snap on 4 tons before I left there, and we had multiple HF 3 tons there as well. At the end of the day all of the jacks were used daily and they did the same thing with identical performance.

HF air bottle jacks are garbage though without a doubt.

The company WANTING Chinese, or any other country ......SPECIFIES the quality and price.
YOU buy it with no expectation of good quality.

Our states along north USA / Canadian border run on pure Canadian electricity. A lot of heat pumps run year around up there.

And Snap on lost because it was proven that they were the same.
Law suit was filed for HF selling floor jacks that “are substantially identical in shape and appearance” to ones sold by Snap-on.

Motion was denied because U.S. District Court ruled there were similarities between the designs “the overall effect of each design on the eye of the ordinary observer is different.”

While manufacturing origin was brought up, the parties argued different points. Neither party argued or claimed that the products in question where one and the same.

Talking tools, I had a 30 year old half inch drive ratchet quit working last week, took it to ace hardware and walked out with a brand new 49$ ratchet free of charge. Craftsman lifetime warranty, got to love it.
