How's the water level on LOTO? We have a place at the end of Anthony Cove and I've been told that my lift may be unusable due to low water levels.

It is pretty much at full pool. Up 4 feet from last month.

Too bad, but it is a long haul from Chi-town. That being said, 3 doors down from us, so I been told, a fireman from Chicago bought an older cabin. Apparently, they come down only on long weekends. We haven't been able to hook up with them yet.

When I retire wife and I plan on moving down to the lake. takes us 7.5 hours to come down pulling the boat. To far for a weekend visits. One year wife and I pulled the 26 foot cruiser down to the lake. Not the easiest pull up and down those hills.

That's good to hear. Last year we had to manually dredge under the lift to be able to get the boat off. Bad part about being at the end of the cove is that we have two creeks that silt up the bottom pretty badly. I think this year I'm going to shop around for a low water lift.

I retire from the Army this coming Friday (15 May). I may move to the lake for the summer while I set up my next career.
