Hello,

I have Merc 9.9 HP,2002, 2 stroke. Has been running over 100 hrs. I have a hard time to start the moter most of the time at cold starting. Sometimes 3 hours later after first started and run. sometimes i found all the plug wet or foul.

I just replaced impeller, Now It seems to be harder to start it. I wonder if these's something to do with Carb?. OR It is time to rebuild Carb?

I have been cleaning carb with deep creep Seaform.
And blew it with compress air. I wonder that is not strong enough? Can I use auto carb cleaner (B120) for? I have been using boat regularly.

Any advice will be appreciated.
Thank you.

Re: Hard starting

How well is the choke functioning? Does it close fully?

Re: Hard starting

Check your choke linkage. You may be overchoking - it's not that cold out. B12 will clean up the carbs. I run a can though the fuel system about every three month's.
