I have a Edson 15 1/2 foot boat with a 1982 70 hp<br />johnson. The steering to the left is stiff near end of travel. Also does not turn as tight to left as it does to right. When nut at motor is undone the motor moves freely and moves more to left.<br /><br />The cable goes into a square tube about 18" long and<br />the steering shaft is attached to the tube. Once in a while a noise come from under dash when turning back from left.<br /><br />Is there anything that can be lubed under dash?<br />Can it be easly taken apart without running into problems?
