What octane fuel are you running? My 3.0L diesels like crazy unless I feed it 91-92 octane.

ill check the pcv. that should be a cheap fix. How can i look up the correct plug? i replaced them last year, but just matched what was in it.
Post your engine serial number. One of the iboaters can verify the correct plugs.

No PCV valve on these engines. That hose from the rocker cover is just a vent for the crankcase, it's not a PCV valve.

Correct spark plugs are NGK-BPR6EFS or AC-MR43LTS (same plugs as the Vortec V6 and V8 engines).. Please don't use champion plugs, they are dreadful in mutli-cylinder engines, especially marine ones....

You might want to read what happened to another member when his engine dieseled on shutdown...

Hmm. 25 gallons * .10 = $2.50 Doesn't seem like much of a commitment
