Next weekend I am planning on camping and fishing at the Hardy Dam Pond (Newago, Michigan) and I hear that the walleyes are really biting there. Has anyone fished there? I have never fished for walleyes, so I would really appreciate any good advice. For that matter, any info on that body of water would be greatly appreciated. I will be fishing from a small alluminum bass boat, so I can fish some fairly skinny water if appropriate.

Thanks,

Here in idaho the bite is on for walley. I am a rookie but all I use is .25 ounce led heads with asingle tail mister twister. Her they seem to be running in around 12 to 17 feet of water.. all different colors of them. Keep changing until you find the right one. Really slow troll or jigging. We also anchor and fish them like bass. They have a real soft bight out here so you stop at first tug and then lay into them on the next bight out here. I am no pro by any means but we land our fair share in a day. My kids love it.

Ryan.
